If you want to learn Eric Clapton's blistering version of the Freddie King classic, 'Hideaway', you've come to the right place.  This is arguably the hardest track to master from the groundbreaking 1966 John Mayall album, "Blues Breakers With Eric Clapton".

One of the most challenging aspects is the timing, and there are numerous tricky passages that test the guitarist.  Added to this, we have all manner of string-bends, trills, slides, pull-offs and hammer-ons, not to mention a terrific double-stop run.

Take each lesson slowly and keep referring back to the record.  Listen very carefully to the phrasing and the bends.  If you don't have a copy of "Blues Breakers With Eric Clapton" already, I strongly recommend you get it.

I have provided both UK and USA shop links at the foot of this page.  Please note that any subsequent purchase would generate a small commission for My Blues Guitar - but at no extra cost to you.

Thanks for watching and good luck with your playing!
