One of the most famous guitars of all time, 'Brownie' is an alder-bodied 1956 Fender Stratocaster, serial number 12073. It was purchased by Eric in May 1967 at the Sound City music shop in London. In 1999, Eric sold Brownie along with many more of his guitars at auction in aid of his 'Crossroads' Alcohol and Drug recovery centre. It sold for $497,500.
