When Cream called it a day and announced their split, it was agreed that for their final album, Goodbye, each of the three members would bring a new tune along to the recording session. Eric chose to collaborate with his friend, George Harrison of The Beatles, and they came up with Badge.
The rhythm guitar - apparently the work of George - is absolutely crucial to the sound of the song. Watch and listen closely to the lesson and do the same with the solo. Eric was such a master of his craft, that he executes the classic lead break with such brilliance and finesse as to make it sound easy, which it most certainly is not! Break it down and practice each part slowly.
